Uncontested Divorce
When you have an uncontested divorce both parties have reached an agreement regarding all assets and conditions in their divorce.
Such an agreement will include a process for dividing all assets and debts, as well as an agreement on any spousal or child support when appropriate, and child custody and visitation.
Once these agreements have been reached it is good to have an attorney review your agreement to make certain that the terms of the agreement are clearly stated and consistent with the law.
Any uncontested divorce can be finalized immediately if the parties agree and a set of legal documents, including a general judgment of dissolution of marriage, is completed. Once these documents are signed by a circuit court judge, your divorce is final.
